Our Foundation and this event were created in memory of 4 year old Raylan Barr who passed away in September due to a swimming accident in Lakewood. So we started Rays the Barr Foundation as a way to provide the kids in the community with affordable/free swimming lessons, life jackets, and other water safety education. Operation Ripple Effect is a swim-a-thon style event that we are using as our primary fundraiser. We are hoping to get 100 swimmers registered for the event! The day of event, we will also be holding a basket raffle and silent auction at the Jamestown YMCA. The Annual Grapes and Hops Festival at Northwest Arena is a single-day ticketed event on Saturday, April 20, 2024, with a focus on the New York State craft beer, distillery, and wine industries. The overall intent of the festival is to offer the adult community a day of entertainment at Northwest Arena with samplings of hand-crafted beer, local wines, great food, music, and vendors. This is a 21+ event. A valid state license is required for entry.  The General Session is from 2 PM – 5 PM. A limited number of VIP tickets will be sold that will allow holders 1 PM entry to the vendor floor, a commemorative pint glass, and exclusive access to a VIP lounge with complimentary small bites. Designated Driver tickets are available at a reduced price; Designated Drivers must also be 21+ to enter the festival.
